Renovations Program :
 
1. Provides student with actual experience in a variety of skills in renovating a home. This allows  the student to gain knowledge and abilities in the maintenance of a dwelling.
2. Provides pride and self confidence in the student and provides beautification for the neighborhood or community.
3. Provides affordable housing for people and possibly independent living units for students.

Employment Opportunities
 

CarVaGa's main operation is processing post-industrial plastics. Employees grind or bail the plastics and other materials for resale. We also offer shredding and recycling confidential documents for various companies.

General maintenance and janitorial employment is available for the industrial building and The Center building.Carvaga Building

Other opportunities are supervisory positions, design and lay-out, organizational skills, office skills, loading and un-loading trucks, materials handling and ware house operations organization, forklift operators, sorting, collating, inspecting, packaging, and assembly.

CarVaGa also contracts for small out-sourced jobs from factories, industries, and other businesses. A few examples are; preparing floor samples, painting and assembly of various interior and exterior décor, These jobs are not necessarily constant, but they allow for flexibility in participating and learning various skills (i.e., sawing, gluing, sewing, cutting patterns, etc)


Apprenticeship Programs

These mainly focus on the building trades (i.e. carpentry, masonry, and electrical engineering). The student is placed on "real" jobs working with a licensed tradesmen, and is paid by CarVaGa as an employer

The Center for Career Transitional Services
We also offer "Specially Designed Apprentice Programs" focusing on employment that matches the student's interest and abilities. Upon successful competition of these programs CarVaGa will provide the necessary support for successful transitioning of the student's employment
